Rural Athletics Centre will co-host the NT Relays Championships as our Interclub meet on the afternoon of 9 August. This event is open to all Athletics NT clubs and we have also invited School of Sport Education NT regions to take part. Medals will be presented for all relay events.
To take part in the relays, please put your name down on the sheets at Monday or Wednesday training, or if you don't attend FPR training, email or facebook message your interest.
There will be supporting field events as per below program - these will also be recorded as the RAC Champs results. To compete in the field events, athletes need to register at https://www.ntathletics.org.au/events/305752.
Times are approximate, and will depend on number of relays teams and individual field event competitors. Once an age group completes their first relay event, they move onto the first field. Same for the second relays and following field events.
Age Groups: 9-11yrs = U12 , 12-13yrs = U14, 14-15yrs = U16 etc. Open 20+, Masters 30+
Except for the 4x100m events, relays can be mixed M/F teams
Athletes can compete in an older age group team (excluding Masters) e.g. An 11 yr old can be in an U14 team. Masters athletes can compete as part of an Open age team.
Athletes will only be allowed to compete in the Hammer if they have had training in the event. U14 and U16 athletes can choose to compete in a hammer event instead of their age group event.
Number of trials for field events will be determined by numbers of competitors. Min 2, Max 3.
