International Women's Day and Queensland Women’s Week 2026 - Shaping tomorrow together

Join us for a Queensland Women’s Week walk with a morning walk with the Queensland Walks team to celebrate the role of women and girls in our communities.

We will gather at the Cultural Centre Forecourt in front of the ABC Brisbane studio and enjoy a relaxed, inclusive walk along the river through South Bank. The walk is to acknowledge Queensland Women's Week by recognising the importance of safe, accessible and welcoming public spaces for women and girls. This is an opportunity to connect with Queensland Walks and stakeholders and start the day with a walk and coffee. All walking speeds welcome.

Please wear sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat. Water is available on the walk. 

Cost of the walk is by donation to Queensland Walks Incorporated which will be directed to the Safe Active Schools program and campaign. Your donation is tax deductable through the Australian Sports Foundation.
