You're invited to the Hervey Bay - Safe Cities | Safe Streets Night Walk

Queensland Walks and Queensland Health-Queensland Women and Girls Health Promotion Program invite you to join this local community event, highlighting the importance of safe, walkable spaces for women and girls.

Delivered in partnership with the Zonta Club of Brisbane, the University of Queensland, and Queensland Walks, the Safe Cities | Safe Streets initiative explores how women and girls experience safety in public spaces, particularly after dark.

We invite you to:

  • Walk with us along Main Street and adjoining streets  
  • Share your insights by completing a short survey (*please bring your mobile phone)
  • Join us for a post walk conversation at the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre (light refreshments provided)

Date:   Tuesday 21 October 2025
Time:   5:15pm for a 5:30pm start
Route: Walk commences at Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre (22 Charles Street, Pialba), then onto Torquay Road, Main Street, Old Maryborough Road, Charles Street returning to the Neighbourhood Centre. Approximately 1.5km
Meeting Point: Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre, 22 Charles Street, Pialba

*Please wear walking shoes.
