Senior Social drop-in (15years+)

PRILHC work with SkateAway Albany Creek to offer weekly senior social drop-in sessions on Sunday afternoons / evenings. Participants are required to be 15 years + and registered with Skate Australian and Skate Queensland. All registered players are welcome, however participants must adhere to Pine Rivers Inline Hockey Club Code of Conduct.

PRILHC run these sessions for 1.5 hours and the cost is $20 per session payable to SkateAway upon entry. The times vary each week depending on rink availability. The details of senior social drop in sessions are posted weekly on https://www.facebook.com/groups/prdseniorsocial by PRILHC Drop-in Co-ordinator, Jeff Becker.

The PRILHC Drop-in Co-ordinator (with the assistance of PRILHC volunteers) use best endevours to organise fair and equitable teams and schedule for the drop-in session. Games will be run by the Drop-in Co-ordinator and the schedule will include adequate breaks for Goalies, especially when there are only 2 Goalies in attendance.

Please arrive 20mins prior to hitting the rink, and check in with PRILHC Drop-in Co-ordinator, Jeff Becker, for team allocation.

These sessions are designed to be fun and casual, and involve players with a range of skill levels from beginner to advance. PRILHC request that all players are mindful of this, and participate accordinly. Our intent for these sessions is to give everyone an opportunity to play hockey, improve their skills, have fun and get involved. With that in mind, keep your shifts quick and get the puck moving with lots of passes.

Come and Try

PRILHC welcomes 15 year old+ participants who wish to try the sport by offering three sessions before the participant is required to be registered. The club can provide equipment and a club jersey during this time . SkateAway can also provide skates to use, however it's strongly recomended that inline hockey skates are used. $20 is still payable to SkateAway upon entry.

Equipment 

Whilst it is encouraged and recommended that players purchase their own protective equipment, PRILHC registered senior recreational players can hire protective equipment at a cost. Players will be fitted out with protective equipment that is available from the store room which can be used for senior drop-in sessions.

This equipment will include:

• helmet;
• elbow pads;
• shin pads;
• gloves; and
• a stick.

Whilst wearing of girdles and pelvic protector / protective cup are strongly recommended to prevent injury, PRILHC does not hire these items members.

Between sessions, the equipment is to be stored in PRILHC provided individual equipment bags labelled with the players name and will be retained in the coaches equipment room on the hooks on the wall. The cost of the hire will be $5 per session, payable by cash to the Senior Co-ordinator at the time of use.
