Panthers Softball Club was established in 1958 by a group of players led by Dale Woodforth, originally competing as the Morningside Panthers under the Morningside Australian Rules banner.

From humble beginnings with one team, the club grew to six teams by the mid-1960s. After winning the A2 Premiership in 1965/66, Panthers were promoted to A-Grade. Since then, the club has built a strong presence across all levels, from A1 to juniors, consistently competing in and winning grand finals.
The Panthers have continued to grow through the dedication of our volunteers, whose contribution has been vital in shaping the club into what it is today.
We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that supports personal growth, healthy living, and lifelong friendships through softball.
In the 2025/26 season, Panthers were crowned Brisbane Club Champions for the 9th time in 10 years, alongside multiple Junior Club Champion titles. The club was also named Softball Queensland Club of the Year (2024–25).
Today, the club continues to grow and succeed, guided by The Panthers Code (TPC) — the standards, behaviours, and mindset that define who we are on and off the field.
We welcome players of all ages and skill levels across all grades:
