All Star’s Fully Loaded Softball Charity Match
The Story Behind the Game
The annual All Star’s Fully Loaded Softball Charity Match was established in 2022, following an initiative put forward by the Warriors Softball Club to honour and remember former player Kristyn, who sadly lost her battle with breast cancer.
What began as a proposal to dedicate a regular season round to breast cancer awareness soon grew into something bigger. With support from the Mount Gambier Softball League, the idea evolved into an annual charity event that brings players together while giving back to the local community.
Held outside the regular softball season, the match gives players from across the league a chance to come together in mixed-club teams, enjoy a fun, modified version of softball, and raise much-needed funds for a local Mount Gambier charity.
From a heartfelt idea to honour one of our own, All Star Fully Loaded Softball has become a special event on the Mount Gambier Softball League’s calendar, bringing our softball community together for a cause greater than the game itself.
Our Community Impact
Since it began in 2022, All Star’s Fully Loaded Softball has brought our clubs, players, and supporters together to make a positive difference in the local community.
Each year, Mount Gambier Softball League clubs can nominate local charities for consideration, giving them the opportunity to recognise and support causes that matter to them and the wider community.
Through the generosity of our players, volunteers, spectators, local businesses and sponsors, the event raises much-needed funds and awareness for the selected charity, while celebrating the community spirit that makes our league special.
What began as a heartfelt tribute to one of our own continues to make a difference beyond the softball diamond.
