SENIOR ATHLETICS

Senior athletics is open to athletes age 13 and above.

For Perth Metropolitan and Country Centres, the Summer Season runs from September through to March each year, with membership also including the Winter Season (Cross Country and Race Walking events, predominantly in the metropolitan area).

HOW DO I RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP?

If you are an Athletics West member from the previous season, please renew your registration via the club link that you want to join on our registrations page. You must renew your registration before you can access your profile. Please ensure you have done this prior to resetting your password.

When completing your payment information, please check that the autofill hasn't changed the name of the joining member (i.e listing the parent name instead of the child).

WHERE CAN I FIND MY NATIONAL ID NUMBER?

You can find your National ID number by contacting the registrar at your club or by logging in to your membership portal.

It also appears on the email you received at the time of registration.

I AM A LITTLE ATHLETICS MEMBER, CAN I JOIN SENIOR ATHLETICS?

Yes, athletes aged 11 years and over by the 31st of December 2025, are able to register with a senior Club to take part in senior athletics.

Some Little Athletics Centres have affiliation with Senior Clubs to offer a Little Athletics Dual Membership. This membership is for Little Athletics members to provide them with an introductory membership to Senior Athletics. You must be a member of an Athletics West Little Athletics Centre to access this membership category.  We recommend talking to your Little Athletics Centre to find out which Senior Club they have an affiliation with.

WHEN CAN I REGISTER OR JOIN A CLUB?

Registrations for the 2025-26 season open Monday, 1st September 2025. The membership year runs from September 2025 until August 2026.

You can join a club at any point during the year.

HOW DO I MOVE OR TRANSFER CLUBS?

To move to another club, you must contact the club you wish to move to and request an Athlete Transfer. The athlete is responsible for paying any club membership fees to the new club.

If you wish to move clubs prior to a championship event you must request the transfer at least 2 weeks prior to the event.

Both clubs must approve the transfer request before it is authorised by Athletics West. Club administrators can contact Athletics West for assistance in completing a transfer in REVSport.

WHAT IS STRIVE?

The Strive Program is a weekly competition held throughout September - March, predominantly on Friday evenings at the WA Athletics Stadium in Mt Claremont. The Strive program is aimed at Junior and Senior Athletes looking to progress to State and National events.

To compete in the Strive Program events, athletes must hold either a Junior, Senior or Masters Dual membership through an Athletics West affiliated One Club, Senior Club or as an Athletics West Independent.
