History
1988
Mandurah City Council entered an athletics team in the South-West Games competition held in Mandurah at the South Mandurah Football Oval. The team was managed by Brian Woodward, who along with several parents and athletes from Murray Districts Little Athletic Centre decided to continue the group to form Mandurah Athletics Club and join Athletics West Association for the the 1988 athletic season with competition help every Saturday at Perry Lakes Stadium.

The Club became incorporated. Licensed to Western Australia Athlwtics Federation. Included "Rockingham" in the Club name and changed the Club Badge.

On 15th December 2007 the Western Australian Athletics Commission arranged the final major athletics meet to be conducted at Perry Lakes Stadium. Perry Lakes Stadium first opened to host the Empire Games in 1962.
