Minchinbury Little Athletics
In addition to the terms and conditions set by Australian Athletics and Athletics NSW Michinbury Little Athletics enforces the following in regards to attendance and elijability for end of season trophys and presentation:
ATTENDANCE
To qualify for awards at the end of year presentation, each athlete must attend and compete in a minimum of one event 75% of competition nights from date of registration (this does not include cancelled nights due to weather). This was a question you had to tick to say you agreed to when you registered your child/children.
If your child cannot attend nights due to circumstances out of your control e.g. – separated parents, emergency overseas trips (proof must be provided), ongoing illness etc. you must EMAIL a signed letter to the club stating your reasons for your child/ren not being able to attend all competition nights (if due to an illness a doctor’s certificate must also be provided). This letter will be presented at our monthly meetings and the Committee will vote on whether the child will be awarded attendance (no points will be awarded towards 1st, 2nd or 3rd) for the weeks missed.
In prior years, we have been lenient and allowed people to advise us in the lead up to Presentation however, this causes a lot more trouble for the trophy supplier and our booklets for printing. If you do not let us know as soon as the absence occurs, attendance will not be awarded.
