Merricks Yacht Club offers a friendly environment to enjoy sailing, fishing and socialising on the sandy shores of Westernport.
We welcome new people joining our club, whether it be as a boating member or on a more social basis. We aim to provide activities that enable people from all backgrounds to participate and enjoy the club facilities throughout the year.

It was an exciting day's racing to start the 2026-27 season. Well, actually it was pretty boring light wind racing (though well done to Mitch Campbell, Team Wood, and His Honour, Tom Clarke). No, the excitement was that the Vice Commodore forgot to enter (but claims otherwise) and the Handicapper bowed to unrelenting pressure and included his results. Last week the Thursday night gang put on another wonderful meal for about 50 members in the club house. Apart from a great night, Mark, the Balnarring Bendigo Community Bank branch manager announced that we had received a grant of $25,000 towards the Accessible Bathroom. Some people say it looks to be the best accessible bathroom in the Southern Hemisphere.
