Accommodation & Host Families

Host families are a unique part of Maccabi Carnival and contribute greatly to the overall experience of every participant. Host families help kids to make new friends and get to know other kids from different states. Year on year, feedback shows this is a valuable and positive part of the Carnival experience from which lifelong friendships are made.

Maccabi’s Host Family policy is based on a fair and reasonable approach to accommodate all parties, children and parents from all visiting states as well as the host state.

Sydney Participants

Being a host family to an interstate billet is a special part of participanting in your home state and supports the spirit of Maccabi Junior Carnivals.
Hosting is manadatory for ALL Sydney families taking part in Junior Carnival to host at least one billet. If you CANNOT host please contact your state manager for a confidential discussion. Only Extenuating circumstances will be considered.
