Maroondah Eastern Institute of Volleyball (MEIV) – 2026The Maroondah Eastern Institute of Volleyball (MEIV) is Maroondah Volleyball’s structured athlete development program for secondary school students. MEIV provides a clear development pathway, supporting athletes as they progress from learning the fundamentals of volleyball through to club, Youth League, and higher-level representative opportunities. Athletes are placed into programs that best suit their age, experience, and stage of development, ensuring appropriate challenge, enjoyment, and long-term growth. |

MEIV operates across four progressive development stages:

MEIV programs are delivered across multiple days, each aligned to specific stages of the development pathway.

Assessments & Invitations
To ensure athletes are placed in the most appropriate program:

Athletes may be assessed prior to joining MEIV
-
Invitations apply to Development & Advanced (Monday) programs only
Youth League
Youth League competitions are held on Sunday afternoons, immediately following Sunday MEIV training sessions.
Membership Requirement (Required Before Registration)
All participants must hold a current Volleyball Victoria membership and be registered with Maroondah Volleyballbefore registering for MEIV.
The following membership categories are applicable to MEIV:

Training Membership(minimum required for MEIV training)

Recreational Membership(required if participating in Local League competitions)

Full Membership(required if participating in Victorian Volleyball League (VVL))
Most athletes only require a Training membership to participate in MEIV.
If an athlete later progresses into Local League or VVL, their membership can be upgraded at any time.
