Registration and Payment – Little Spikers (2026)

Little Spikers is Maroondah Volleyball’s early childhood introductory program for children aged 2–5 years.

The program is designed to introduce very young children to movement, coordination and ball skills in a fun, play-based and supportive environment. Sessions focus on developing fundamental motor skills, confidence, listening skills and early teamwork foundations.

Little Spikers is the first step in the Maroondah Volleyball development pathway, preparing children for progression into VolleyKids when they reach primary school age.

Program Details – Beginner Session

Day: Thursday
Time: 4:30pm – 5:15pm (45 minute session suited to early childhood attention spans)
Who: Children aged 2–5 years

Parents/guardians are encouraged to remain present and may assist where appropriate.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in and be ready to start.

Pathway Information

Little Spikers provides the foundational movement and coordination skills required for future volleyball participation.

Children develop:

• Basic throwing and catching

• Balance and coordination

• Spatial awareness

• Confidence in a group environment

• Listening and simple instruction-following skills

When children reach primary school age (Prep), they transition into:

VolleyKids – General Program (4:30pm Thursdays)
Which continues skill development in a structured volleyball setting.

From there, athletes may progress into:

• VolleyKids Advanced

• MEIV (Secondary School Program)

• Youth and Representative pathways

Membership Requirement (Required Before Registration)

All participants must hold a current Volleyball Victoria membership and be registered with Maroondah Volleyball before registering for Little Spikers.

The following membership categories are applicable to Little Spikers:

• Training Membership (most participants only require this)

• Recreational Membership

• Full Membership

If your child is participating only in Little Spikers, the Training Membership is sufficient.
