Maroondah Eastern Institute of Volleyball (MEIV) – Sunday Program (2026)

Registration and Payment – MEIV Sunday Sessions (2026)

The Maroondah Eastern Institute of Volleyball (MEIV) is Maroondah Volleyball’s structured development program for secondary school students progressing through the volleyball pathway.

The Sunday MEIV program is designed for athletes in the Juniors and Intermediate stages, combining structured training with direct alignment to Youth League competition.

MEIV Development Pathway

MEIV operates across progressive development stages:

• Juniors – learning core skills and fundamentals

• Intermediate – skill consolidation and game understanding

• Development – higher-level technical and tactical training

• Advanced – performance-focused training

The Sunday program delivers the Juniors and Intermediate stages of the pathway.

Sunday Program Details – Juniors & Intermediate

• Day: Sunday

• Time:2:30pm – 4:00pm

• Who: Secondary school students in Juniors and Intermediate groups

Sunday MEIV sessions focus on skill development and game concepts and are scheduled immediately before Youth League games, allowing athletes to transition directly from training into match play where applicable.

Primary school athletes: Please refer to VolleyKids programs.

Which MEIV session should I choose?

MEIV programs are delivered across different days to align with stages of athlete development:

• Tuesday – Juniors & Intermediate (core MEIV development sessions)

• Sunday – Juniors & Intermediate, competition-aligned training followed by Youth League games

• Monday – Development & Advanced training (invitation only)

Membership Requirement (Required Before Registration)

All participants must hold a current Volleyball Victoria membership and be registered with Maroondah Volleyballbefore registering for MEIV.

The following membership categories are applicable to MEIV:

• Training Membership(minimum required for MEIV training)

• Recreational Membership(required if participating in Local League competitions)

• Full Membership(required if participating in Victorian Volleyball League (VVL))

Most athletes only require a Training membership to participate in MEIV.
If an athlete later progresses into Local League or VVL, their membership can be upgraded at any time.

Term 2

Sunday 19 April – Sunday 21 June 2026

Term 3

Sunday 12 July – Sunday 13 September 2026

Term 4

Sunday 5 October – Sunday 30 November 2026

• No session: Sunday 1 November 2026 (Melbourne Cup long weekend)
