Manly women's turf

Manly women's currently offer 4 turf teams:

Sydney Womens Hockey League 

Manly fields two teams in the Sydney Womens Hockey League (SWHL) which is the top competition in Sydney. The season runs from the end of March with finals normally taking place in mid-late September. Games are played on Sundays at various turfs across Sydney, including Olympic Park, Ryde, Cintra, Lidcombe, Moorebank, UNSW.

Grading 2025:

Manly 1s - Metro League 2  (ML2)

Manly 2s - Metro League 4  (ML4)

These are highly competitive teams for experienced players. Players must trial to be selected into these teams and are expected to commit to a full season and training.  

Sydney North Womens Competition 

Season runs from early April to mid Sept, games are played Sundays at Pennant Hills and Kuringai. The Sydney North competition has 3 divisions so offers competitive hockey as well as more social options, so it can suit experienced players who don't want the commitment of the SWHL comp, those returning to hockey after a break, or juniors transitioning to senior hockey.  Training is offered for these teams, but is optional. 

2025 Grading we will likely enter one team in Div A & one in DivB,  however teams may be regraded after the first few rounds. This will depend on players for the current season.    

Manly 3s - core of seasoned players who have played together for many years, often looking for additional players to join. 

Manly Greens - new team started in 2024 to expand our growing women's hockey club and welcome in juniors moving up to seniors.   

Depending on numbers, there may be an option to enter an additional team to the Syd North comp.
