Lindfield Sports Centre – Summer 2016 Information

The Summer 2016 competitions are scheduled to commence on the 5^th of September. The competition will run for 14 – weeks, with All Age playing 14 rounds and U6-U18 taking two weeks off in the Term 3 school holidays, resulting in 12 rounds of play.

The dates of the competition are Monday 5^th September to Monday 12^th December. There will be no games played on Monday October 3^rd (Labour Day); these games will instead be played on the 12^th December.

If you are not sure which age group or division to register you team for, consider these points:

• If the player is turning 8 in 2016, the youngest age group they can register for is U8. The age cut-off date is December 31^st, whatever age they are at that date is the youngest age group they are eligible for.
• If the majority of your team was part of a Development Squad/Academy in 2015, it is suggested that your team registers for a Division 1 competition, or Division 1 in an older age group.
• If the majority of your team was part of a SAP squad or other Representative program in 2016, it is suggested that your team registers for a Division 1 competition in the age group higher than their 2016 age group.
• If the majority of your team are ‘C’ team players or playing as a strong social team, registration for Division 1 competitions is recommended.

Please note the following for each respected division:

• The minimum age for a player playing in a Men’s or Women’s All Age team is 16 (Turning 16 in 2016 is eligible)
• The minimum age for a player playing in WO35’s, MO35’s and MO45’s teams is the respected age in the name of the age group. We reserve the rights to penalize any teams who breach this ruling

Competition Timetable

Due to the variable demand of some divisions, we reserve the rights to add, remove or modify kick off times as per advertised in the table above. Teams affected by the changes will be notified.

If you wish to register your interest to play in a competition on the weekend, please contact us. With enough interest, we may form a Saturday and/or Sunday Competition.
