Jindabyne Snow Dragons – Our Story
Jindabyne Snow Dragons was founded in 2007 by local paddling enthusiasts Jo and Alan Davis, whose passion for dragon boating introduced the sport to the Snowy Mountains community.
The club quickly established itself as a competitive force at regattas across New South Wales, winning numerous medals and producing paddlers who have gone on to represent NSW Southern Region at Australian Dragon Boat Championships.
In 2024, seven club members joined fellow paddlers from the South Coast to complete the iconic 33 kilometre Vogalonga in Venice, Italy, reflecting the club's adventurous spirit and strong sense of community.
Today, the club welcomes paddlers of all ages and abilities, with a successful New Paddler Program helping to grow membership each year. Jindabyne Snow Dragons regularly combines with other Southern Region clubs to compete at regattas throughout the ACT and regional NSW.
With a growing membership, dedicated volunteers and a passion for the sport, the future of Jindabyne Snow Dragons is brighter than ever.
