Hi Impulse sailors,

The Summer sailing season is now underway at most clubs, and there's plenty of sailing and social opportunities for Impulse sailors to look forward to over the next few months, not least of which is our National Titles at Altona Sailing Club, 28th December - 3rd January.  Entries are now open on our website, Notice of Race can be found there and the entry details including early entry incentives is included below in this bulletin.  On New Years Eve the sports club next door to the club will be holding live music and finger food, it's not an association run function but it would be nice for members to attend the same event.  First preference is going to our members but they need to know our numbers very soon, by Tuesday 21st October. Please contact Altona's Commodore Paul Lindeman if you'd like to attend:  lindemannenterprise@gmail.com

Best of luck to everyone for a fantastic sailing season, look forward to catching up with you at the nationals or at some of our traveller's venues before then,

Vic. Impulse Committee.

To book please contact Paul Lindeman lindemannenterprise@gmail.com by Tuesday 21st October

Traveller's Series 2025 / 26

A couple of heats have been sailed since our last bulletin, at Albert Park back in June and more recently at Bendigo Yacht Club's Icebreaker Regatta.  The planned heat at Ryhll on Philip Island last weekend was unfortunately cancelled due to strong winds.  A shame as we had 9 visiting Impulses ready to sail.

Next heat coming up is at the Cairn Curran Regatta, 29th - 30th November, usually well attended by Impulses.  Enjoy some great flat water sailing, warm country hospitality, camping by the lake.  Details and entry  Here

Upcoming Heats:

November 29  -   Cairn Curran Regatta 29th - 30th November.  1st completed race of the regatta

December 13th -    Altona - Pre-Christmas Short Course Regatta First Saturday PM Race

January 25th   Inverloch Australia Day Regatta  - 25th January -  Sunday Race - 11 am

February 21st  -    Williamstown Y.C - Saturday afternoon club race

March 7th     Portarlington State Titles 7th - 9th March  - 1st Race Saturday PM

10 races are scheduled, 5 drops.  Pick 5 that take your fancy or see if you can get to all 10!   Where there is a regatta the traveller’s heat is the first completed race unless stated otherwise on the calendar.

Victorian State Championships 2026

We have recently confirmed Portarlington Sailing Club on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula will be the venue for the next Victorian State Titles.  Dates will be over the Labour Day Weekend, Saturday 7th to Monday 9th March.

Offering onsite bush camping with hot showers, country catering and the chance to sit around the campfire at night. This family friendly event has a sandy beach and a host of activities in the Grampians Region.
