Family Sailing Adventure

Family Sailing Adventure

Come sailing with us and enjoy some family time doing something fun!

We are pleased to welcome participants onboard for a Family Sailing Adventure

SESSION TIME:  4:30pm to 7:00pm

SESSION PRICE:  $250 per boat.

We cater for complete beginners so we’ll help you all to develop your sailing skills & knowledge in a fun, relaxed environment.

Sailing will be conducted on the Club's fleet of Magic 25 keelboats, on the inshore Brisbane Waters (Gosford Sailing Club).

The boats carry an Instructor and up to four course participants, at least one of which must be an adult. The Minimum age is 7 years.

A correctly fitting personal flotational device (PFD) or lifejacket will be supplied for all participants when you meet your instructor at the sailing office.

Do you have suitable lifejackets for us all, including the children?  Yes we do.  We have a wide size range of personal floatation devices (PFDs) as well as self-inflating lifejackets.  We will ensure you are correctly fitted based on each individual’s size.

What if it’s really windy, do we still sail?  Given we may have young children onboard we are particularly vigilent about the weather and the sailing conditions.  We want to make sure everyone feels safe and has a fun time on-water.  If we cannot sail on a particular afternoon due to strong winds, we will offer the opportunity to reschedule to another date.

The course includes an introduction to fundamental boat handling skills and essential safety knowledge. At the end of this course you will come away with an introductory sailing experience certificate.
