Late registrations for this course are closed.

Your Discover Sailing journey continues as you master all of the fundamental dinghy sailing skills. You are now equipped to sail your dinghy on your own voyages of discovery. This course runs on Saturday mornings from 09:00am - 11:30am during the sailing season. Enrollment is actioned upon completion of GSC's level one sailing program. You will be given a hard-copy form which you must hand in to the front office of GSC.

Please use your exisitng Australian Sailing number to register for this and any future sailing events.

Please do not create a duplicate account if you already have an AS number.

Gosford Sailing Club supports the NSW Government Active Kids Rebate program.

Please use the discount code ACTIVEKIDS2020 at time of event registration and pay the balance of the fees payable to guarantee your spot within the program.

You MUST supply a copy of the voucher, and your child's DOB, to GSC via email to: info@gossail.com.au at the time of registration.

If the supplied voucher is not able to be redeemed by GSC you must pay the balance outstanding directly to GSC prior to participating in the program.

Gosford Sailing Club is pleased to be able to re-commence sailing, but COVID-19 is still with us and therefore we need to adapt the way we sail. We are all obliged to work together to fight the transmission of the virus, so the club has introduced some new requirements for racing.

At Home

• Any tasks that can be done at home, should be done at home (e.g. debriefing etc)

• It is strongly recommended that all sailors download the Australian Government COVID -19 contact tracing app (COVID Safe) and keep it active at all times

• It is also recommended that sailors be tested for COVID-19

• If you are a person with high risk of COVID-19, or have symptoms of the Virus (even if mild), stay at home

Ashore

While we are all missing the usual social atmosphere of our club, at this stage Clubhouse remains closed and there will be no prizegiving get-togethers after sailing. The “new normal” for sailing at GSC and other NSW clubs is GET IN, SAIL & GET OUT…..

• Arrive dressed and ready to sail

• No use of change rooms, bathrooms and communal areas at this stage

• Shower at home instead of at the club

• The 4m2 rule applies ashore and sailors should maintain at least 1.5m distance

• Avoid congregating at the Marina, Boatshed and on the beach

• Hand hygiene stations will be available at a number of locations

Afloat

Skippers are Responsible

• There is a maximum of 10 persons aboard any boat

• Where possible, sailors should maintain at least 1.5m distance apart

• No unnecessary body contact (e.g. hand shaking, high fives)

• No sharing of drink bottles, clothing, food and towels etc.

• Avoid sharing of equipment – bring your own lifejacket, gloves etc.
