This course is the Start Crewing Course at Gosford Sailing Club.

Total sessions: 4x 3-hour practical sessions
Minimum age: 16 years
Maximum crew per boat: Five (four students plus one instructor)
Total students per course: 12
Dates: 13th, 20th, 27th June, 4th July 2026.
Time: 08:30-11:30am

• Minimum of 12 hours instruction
• Use of personal safety equipment including life jacket
• Australian Sailing Keelboat Start Crewing Syllabus and Logbook
• GSC Temporary Crew Membership
• Upon successful completion, a nationally recognised Australian Sailing Certificate

Course Overview
This course introduces participants to the basics of sailing on keelboats, including boat handling, safety and sailing theory.

Water confident.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a keelboat. Learn the basics, whilst staying relatively dry! All the equipment and gear will be provided by your accredited Discover Sailing Centre.

Course Outcome

You will gain your Start Crewing completion certificate.
