Gosford Sailing Club welcomes beginners to try Remote Controlled Yacht Sailing. This is a FREE SESSION FOR KIDS designed to provide a fun introduction to the RC STEM Program. Following completion of a one day Discover Sailing Experience, kids can transition into a regular program running fortnightly on Monday evenings throughout October-December 2025.

The RC Yacht STEM program integrates science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts throgh the design, construction and operation of remote-controlled sailing yachts. These programs offer hands-on learning experiences that engage students in practical applications of STEM principles, fostering problem-solving skills and teamwork. They often involve building and customizing RC yachts, understanding boat design, and learning about aerodynamics, physics, and navigation.

KEY DATES
Discover Sailing: Remote Controlled Yacht:

• Monday 29th September - 4.30-6.00pm. Discover Sailing Experience 
• Monday 13th October- 4.30-6.00pm. Discover Sailing Experience(this is the course you are registering into)
  
  Remote Controlled Yacht STEM Program:
  Fortnightly on Mondays, 4.30-6.00pm.

Discover Sailing Day – Come and Try Sailing!

Ever wondered what it’s like to go sailing? Join us for a Discover Sailing Day and experience the thrill of being on the water while exploring your local sailing club.

• No experience needed – just bring your sense of adventure
• Perfect for families, friends, and anyone curious about sailing
• Friendly club members will be there to welcome you and answer questions

Prerequisite: For safety reasons, participants must be confident in and around the water.

By the end of the day, you’ll have:

• Experienced sailing firsthand
• Discovered the fun and community spirit of your local club
• Learned about exciting courses, activities, and ways to keep sailing
