Parkville Floorball Development Day

Floorball Victoria is excited to invite adults, juniors, families, new players, and curious sports fans to the Parkville Floorball Development Day at the Parkville State Hockey Centre.

This event is designed to give new participants the chance to experience floorball in a fun, welcoming, and beginner-friendly environment. Whether you have played before or are picking up a stick for the first time, this is a great opportunity to try one of the fastest-growing indoor team sports in the world.

Come & Try Floorball

From 1:00pm to 3:00pm, participants will be able to take part in a relaxed come and try session with support from Floorball Victoria coaches and volunteers.

Activities will include:

• Basic stickhandling and passing

• Shooting practice

• Beginner-friendly drills

• Social small-sided games

• A social 3v3 floorball rink setup

• Guidance from experienced players and volunteers

No experience is needed, and equipment will be available for new players to use on the day.

Who Can Attend?

The session is open to:

• Juniors

• Adults

• Beginners

• Returning players

• Families

• Anyone interested in learning more about floorball

Comfortable sports clothing and indoor court shoes are recommended.

Exhibition Games

Following the Come & Try session, Floorball Victoria will run exhibition games to showcase the sport at a higher level and give new participants a chance to see how floorball is played in a match setting.

These games will highlight the speed, skill, teamwork, and energy that make floorball such an exciting sport to play and watch.

Floorball and Brisbane 2032

Floorball is gaining momentum internationally, with the International Floorball Federation entering official dialogue regarding potential inclusion in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.

A 3v3 floorball format has been proposed as part of the process, creating an exciting opportunity for the sport to continue growing in Australia and around the world.
