The Falls Creek Race Club Airbag Camp returns to the National Snowsports Training Centre (NSTC) in Jindabyne for its third year, offering athletes an outstanding opportunity to develop their freestyle and aerial skills in a world-class training environment. Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning for another exciting camp, participants will benefit from expert coaching, progressive skill development, and the confidence-building experience of training on the NSTC's state-of-the-art airbag facilities.

Dates: Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 September 2026 (VIC Grand Final Weekend)

Location: National Snow Training Centre at Jindabyne.

Airbag Camp Overview

• Falls Creek Race Club is running the airbag camp. All participants must be members of the Falls Creek Race Club to participate. Not yet a member? Please sign up here
• Baseline concussion testing is mandatory for all athletes. If you have already done this at the start of the season, no further action is required. Haven’t done this yet? See here
• Coaching team is being finalised and will be communicated to registered families

• Main events are the acro session (indoor trampoline) and the airbag/ dryslope training. The timing of our camp coincides with NSTC Acro and Airbag community sessions which is a great opportunity for athletes (and adventurous parents!) to take part. These Community Sessions are open to the general public and are extra to the our airbag camp. Community sessions must be booked and paid for separately at National Snowsports Training Centre online tickets - Home. Community sessions are capped at 18 participants so ensure to book in early if interested.

• All first-timers to Airbag camp must complete a 30 min Intro-2-Plastic session which is a briefing done by the NSTC staff at the facility. Athletes who have attended previous FCRC airbag camps do not need to repeat.

Accommodation at NSTC

• Accommodation has been arranged for this camp and we have booked all 5 athlete houses at the NSTC.
• Linen/towels are provided as well. We’ll do house/bed allocations closer to the dates once we have final numbers.

Costs

• This registration includes a $250 deposit per participating athlete.
• In the event that this trip does not run, a full refund will be issued.
• Final costs are dependent on final numbers and will be confirmed once attendance is locked in. We will keep you updated on costs as we receive confirmation. Note that all participants must register and pre-pay prior to camp.
• Airbag camp costs components are fixed and variable:
  • Fixed costs include NSTC accommodation ($pp/per night), airbag fee, airbag rider fee, acro rider fee, Intro to plastic (for first time camp attendees)
  • Variable costs: Food, coaches’ fees

Program

Food

Parent volunteers cook and prepare meals for the group and there is plenty of space to cook and eat together. There’s a shopping centre nearby for easy access to supplies which is a bonus.

Travel

TBC. Will depend on final numbers and logistics.

Lots to do on the weekend and it’s a great opportunity to meet other parents from Race Club and even have a jump or two on the trampoline. All parent volunteers must have a valid WWCC. Please sign up here

Our Airbag Camps have been extremely popular in previous years and have often reached capacity. As this camp falls during the school holidays, we appreciate that many families may wish to enjoy the experience together. To ensure we can maximise participation and provide the greatest benefit to our athletes, registrations are based on one parent/guardian volunteer per family, regardless of the number of athletes attending. If you would like a second parent/guardian or non-athlete sibling to accompany your family, please indicate your request in the registration form. We will do our best to accommodate additional family members where capacity permits and will keep you informed as registrations progress. While we will make every effort to assist, we are unable to guarantee additional places.

Important

Every attendee needs to be a financial member to Snow Australia and to Falls Creek Race Club - this is for insurance purposes. Reiterating that each athlete needs to be a member of the Falls Creek Race Club.  Membership to Falls Creek Race Club requires at least one parent/guardian as a 1st family member.
