Working With Children Check

Published Fri 13 Mar 2020

Notice from Hockey WA:

In accordance with Hockey Australia’s new National Child Safe Guarding Framework and our need to be compliant with Working with Children legislation; ALL umpires and technical officials operating within our competitions and events will need to provide Esperance Hockey Association a copy of their current Working With Children Card.

The advice under the WWC legislation means you are considered a volunteer because you receive payments that only cover the costs of your child-related work.

A WWC Check is currently $11 for volunteers. Once you hold a Card, it is valid for three years and can be used for all the child-related work you do during this time.
