Tenders Announced

Published Fri 20 Mar 2026

The Esperance Hockey Association is proud to announce a major milestone in our synthetic surface redevelopment project, with the successful awarding of key tenders following a thorough and formal process facilitated by the Shire of Esperance.

On behalf of the Executive Committee, I am pleased to confirm the following appointments:

·        Design and construction of hockey field lighting and electrical works has been awarded to Lister Electrical

·        Supply and installation of the synthetic turf hockey pitch has been awarded to Polytan

We are delighted to be partnering with Polytan, a globally recognised and FIH-preferred supplier of synthetic hockey surfaces. The Association has selected the Poligras Platinum World Cup GT surface—an elite, world-class product that has also been chosen for the 2026 Hockey World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as installation at the Australian Hockey Centre in Perth.

This surface represents the very latest in hockey technology. It is the first system to be certified by the FIH under the new “Innovation Category,” allowing for play on a completely dry surface without the need for sand infill. Bringing this level of innovation to Esperance is a significant achievement for our Association and our wider community.

We are equally pleased to be working with Lister Electrical, a highly respected, locally owned Esperance business with a strong track record across both residential and large-scale commercial projects. Their expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality sports lighting, supported by reliable local service for years to come.

This project marks an exciting new chapter for hockey in Esperance. It will not only enhance the playing experience for our current members but also support the continued growth of the sport and create new opportunities for our region to host high-level competition.

We look forward to sharing further updates with our community as construction progresses.
