GOLDFIELDS HOCKEY ACADEMY PROGRAM

A program the Association offers to members’ with opportunities to partake in its Junior Development. 

The Academy assisting to develop participants game towards a pathway to representative hockey at Local Regional, State & National Junior Teams.

While the academy identifies as a non-elite development program, application does cover an assessment while being aware that talent identification and development is a complex, multifaceted process with the need to be aware of the special talented players. 

Program is welcoming players of varying levels of skill and ability of ages 11 (Year 6) to 20Years in primary year of program to seek application to trial for the acceptance. 

Athletes seeking to join the program need to be aware there are basic requirements through skill assessment for acceptance.  Should they miss out on first time selection; to not be discourage but are welcome to try again in future program trials to be conducted.

Athletes interested in the joining the program can do so by contacting their local Club for info on this program or information on both Goldfields and State team selection trials.
