Dragons Abreast Australia (DAA) is calling for Expressions of Interest from active, committed breast cancer paddlers who would love to represent DAA at the 2027 Australian Dragon Boat Championships (AusChamps).

This is an exciting opportunity to join fellow breast cancer paddlers from across Australia, compete on the national stage and showcase the strength, determination and teamwork of our DAA community.

We're looking for paddlers who are race-ready!

To be considered, paddlers must:

• Be regularly paddling and actively participating in club training.

• Have the fitness, strength and endurance to compete in both 200m and 500m races.

• Be capable of racing in a 10's crew (small boat).

• Be committed to teamwork, crew cohesion and giving their best on race day.

• Meet the eligibility requirements for the BCP racing category.

While we want everyone to enjoy the experience, AusChamps is a competitive national event, and paddlers need to be physically prepared for the demands of racing.

Important Information

This is an Expression of Interest only. Final crew selection will depend on the number of EOIs received, paddler suitability, eligibility and crew balance.

Paddlers will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation, registration and associated expenses.
