Deaf Volleyball Australia – Membership Information & Participation Requirements:
Deaf Volleyball Australia operates under the umbrella of Deaf Sports Australia (DSA) and welcomes both Deaf, Hard of Hearing and hearing individuals to be part of our community.

 

Eligibility for Participation

International Competitions
  • Events: Deaflympic Games and World Deaf Volleyball Championships
  • Hearing Loss Requirement: Greater than 55 dB in the better ear (unaided)
National Competitions
  • Events: Australian Deaf Games and National Deaf Volleyball Championships
Social & Training Participation
  • Hearing participants (e.g., friends or family of Deaf players) are welcome to join training sessions and informal games, subject to space availability.

 

Membership Fees – 2025/26 Season

  • Adults (18+): $38.50 per financial year
  • Youth (under 18): $22 per financial year
