2025 Coburg TT Club Championships

Introduction

The Coburg Table Tennis Club Championships is back for 2025 and is scheduled to be held on Sunday 7th December! While 68 entries is a healthy number, we have nearly 200 matches to get through on the day, so your cooperation in being punctual will be appreciated!

This page will be updated by Kameron Chan (our Tournament Controller) in the lead-up to the Club Championships, and on the day, with announcements, draws and any last-minute changes that have occurred since the close of entries.

Announcements

5/12/2025
The draw has now been published! The official split for the Open Singles has been finalised. Groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 12, 13 will play at 1:00 pm and the rest will play at2:00pm. However, Groups 1-4 may begin much earlier if tables are available so the knockouts of the Veteran's and Junior's may go ahead. Those playing in either Veteran's or Junior's were prioritised to play at 2:00 pm to ensure anyone available to play at 1:00 pm was put on the table.

Players are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of their first match. If matches can be played early, then they will. NOTE: Table 10 is recommended for Junior & Junior Novice Singles since there will be quite a few matches to get through. We should expect to finish by 7 pm (we have been lenient with the time estimations). Your cooperation on the day for getting matches going will be much appreciated!

The site page has now been created. We anticipate releasing the draws either Friday night or Saturday afternoon. Please refer to the below sections as some details have changed since entries closed on Sunday night.

All events after 11am have been pushed back by 30min. However, if matches can begin earlier, we will send this out earlier.

Junior Doubles has been cancelled.
~~Direct Entries in some events have been unavoidable.~~
Due to a massive entry in the Restricted Doubles (and many of which are also playing in the Open Doubles), the early rounds will be played as best of three with the semi-final and final to be played as best of 5. Open Doubles will remain as best of five.

Consolation will only be held for Junior Novice Singles

Where scheduled, it is heavily advised that Table 10 is used throughout the day if Tables 1-9 are in use and we are running significantly behind. Your cooperation and understanding will be greatly appreciated.
