LAWN PRIORITY ACCESS
The Club’s policy on lawn access for members is that the following uses of our lawns have priority in the following order:
- External tournaments (CNSW and Gateball Australia sanctioned events being hosted by the Club and approved by the Playing Committee and Club Committee)
- Club sanctioned competitions such as Tavender Trophy and Tony Hall Cup
- Lawn mowing and maintenance activities
- Weekly scheduled Club draws
- Lawn hirings, Club coaching and training courses; lawn maintenance (ie rolling and line marking) – these bookings should be entered into the Club calendar
- Bookings for Club competition matches – these bookings should be entered into the Club calendar
- “Private” bookings, group play or private practice. Again, bookings should be made in the Club calendar with bookings to be made no more than 2 week in advance of usage. If in the opinion of the Playing Committee these “private” bookings are adversely impacting usages listed at 1, 2, or 3 above, members may be asked to cease or re-schedule their bookings.

Guidelines for Club Draws
Special Rules For Club Draws
- If a privately organised match is under way and the lawn is required for a scheduled draw, that match should be pegged down and continued later.
- Club competition matches can be played during a Club draw provided that the match does not significantly interfere with or disadvantage players taking part in the draw (ie Club draw matches should be double-banked with each other, or with the competition match, if that would allow one or more competition matches to be played during the draw. However, all members attending a draw are entitled to play in the draw, even if that prohibits a competition match).
Double Banked Games
Double-banked games will be played under the current Laws (AC Law 52; GC Rule 17).
Footwear
Flat-soled shoes MUST be worn at all times.
TOURNAMENTS & CHANGES
This program does vary from time to time depending on the needs of our members.
The Club runs a number of internal competitions; some of these are played on specific days such as the Tavender Trophy, the Tony Hall Cup and Presidents Day, and these will take precedence over standard draws.
From time to time, the Club also hosts external regional or state events sanctioned by CNSW or Gateball Australia, which can run over 1-3 days and which also take precedence over normal Club draws.
