About

At Buderim Water Polo our mission is to create the opportunity for successful experiences in social & competitive water polo with an emphasis on inclusion and participation. Buderim Water Polo was founded in the Autumn of 2021.
In that time Buderim Water Polo has grown to 120+ members from Caloundra to Coolum on the Sunshine Coast.

We welcome new to water polo players. Learn water polo skills in a safe and encouraging space. Please get in touch about our free come n try option.

Most recently Buderim competed at the 2022 Queensland Water Polo Junior Country Championships and came away with the premier championship in the U18 Girls and will be looking for back to back titles in 2023. Buderim took away 5 teams of boys and girls with all teams taking part in the finals, a big achievement for a relatively new sporting team, and a testament to the spirit of our club and its members. Walking away with Gold in the U18 Girls, Bronze in the U16 Girls & Bronze in the U12 Girls Buderim Water Polo hopes to continue our success in the upcoming season.

Members of our club have represented SCWP in the Brisbane Water Polo Competition, Australian Youth Championships, Queensland Country Championships and the Queensland Premier League. They have represented Queensland in the U17 & U19 State Championships, Australian Country Championships, and Australia at the 2022 Fina World Championships.

BWP prides itself in our Growth mindset. Championing the process over results.

We focus on acquiring water polo & life skills so our athletes can lead by example, with integrity, respect and fairness- the pillars of sportsmanship.
