Some competitions are entered as Breakers Water Polo club teams, while others are entered as Sunshine Coast Water Polo regional representative teams.

Breakers Junior Club Competitions

Junior Country Championships

The Junior Country Championships will be held in Rockhampton from 4–6 December 2026. The main venue will be the 2nd World War Memorial Aquatic Centre, with additional venues to be confirmed once team entries have been finalised.

JCC is a club-based competition, with players representing Breakers Water Polo and is an excellent event for newcomers to club water polo.

Likely teams include:

  • 12U Mixed

  • 12U Boys and Girls

  • 14U Boys and Girls

  • 16U Boys and Girls

  • 18U Girls

Final player costs will depend on the WPQ team entry fees but are expected to be between $150 and $200 per player. This includes playing fees and coach costs but does not include accommodation or transport. Family discounts will be considered.

State Titles

The State Titles will be held across several Sunshine Coast pools from 16–24 January 2027. Likely venues include Kawana, Grammar, Nambour, UniSC and SAAC.

  • Week 1: 16–19 January: 18U, 14U and Opens

  • Week 2: 21–24 January: 16U and 12U

State Titles is a club-based competition, with players representing Breakers Water Polo.

SCWP Junior Regional Competitions

The following competitions are managed by Sunshine Coast Water Polo. Selected players will compete as SCWP regional teams, rather than as Breakers Club teams.

Brisbane Metro Junior Competition

WPQ has not yet released the dates for BMJC as of yet. BMJC is played on Saturdays at various pools across Brisbane during Terms 4 and 1. Age groups will be determined by EOI, but generally U12/13/14/15/16/17/18.

Australian Youth Water Polo Championships

AYC will be held at various pools across Brisbane between 30 March and 9 April 2027.

The competition will run across two weeks, with the age groups divided into 18U/14U and 16U/12U. The exact dates for each age group are still to be confirmed.

SCWP Senior Regional Competitions

Queensland Premier League and Queensland Premier League Reserves

QPL and QPL Reserves are played as home-and-away competitions. The exact dates have not yet been released, but the season generally runs for approximately ten weeks, beginning in late August or September.

Queensland Country Championships

WPQ has not yet released the dates or location for QCC. The competition is generally held on the third weekend of February, with Bundaberg currently being discussed as the possible location.

Breakers Senior Club Competition

Fluidra Australia Cup

The Fluidra Australia Cup will be held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra from 16–20 December 2026.

Players will stay at the AIS, with accommodation and meals included. The expected cost is approximately $650–$900 per player, depending on fundraising and sponsorship. Flights are not included.

This is a high-quality competition supporting the Australian Water Polo League pathway and providing clubs and emerging teams from Australia and the Asia-Pacific with opportunities to compete at a higher level. International teams are also normally in attendance.

Players will represent Breakers Water Polo at this competition.
