Raymond Donghwan Kim

Coach Donghwan Kim was a Korean Cadet and Junior representative and has specialized in high-performance training for the Sabre team at Dong-Eui University in Korea.
In 2014, Coach Kim represented the Australian Sabre team, achieving significant milestones by being the first Australian Sabreur to earn a podium finish at international competitions, including the Singapore and Thailand Opens.
He began his coaching career in 2015. With over 10 years of coaching experience in Australia, Coach Kim has produced numerous national team athletes. Notably, in 2024, he served as the coach for the Australian Junior National Team, leading them to a first-place finish at the 2024 Asia Junior Championships. Additionally, at the 2024 Commonwealth Junior Championships, the team achieved remarkable success, securing 5 gold medals and 2 silver medals across 8 events. This achievement marked the first time in the history of Commonwealth fencing that Australia secured an overall first-place finish.
His leadership, experience, and dedication to the sport have made significant contributions to the continued growth of fencing in Australia.
Moon Kim

Coach Moon and coach Oh are a married couple who have participated in 1984 L.A Olympic Game. Moreover, coach Moon has a history of been ranked fifth in the Olympics when he was still an active athlete. The two coaches have more than 30 years of experience in South Korea and they have constantly produced a number of Olympic-level athletes. In the 2012 London Olympics, athlete Jung (who had been trained by Moon) has achieved a silver medal. As Korean fencing is at the top of the world, it has nurtured many world class elite fencers.
Coach Moon Kim served as the head coach of the Brisbane Fencing Club in 2021 and has been actively working on developing athletes for the Australian national team. Notably, he coached a significant role in helping modern pentathlon athlete Rhys Lanskey secure a spot for the 2024 Paris Olympics. With over 40 years of dedication to the sport of fencing, he is a veteran coach who, based on his extensive experience, is committed to discovering and developing talented athletes.
Jessica Soon OH

Coach Moon and coach Oh are a married couple who have participated in 1984 L.A Olympic Game. The two coaches have more than 30 years of experience in South Korea and they have constantly produced a number of Olympic-level athletes.
Coach Oh has had a successful career both as an athlete and a coach. During her athlete career, she won the Asian Championships in the 1980s. Over the past 10 years, she served as the foil coach at Busan Sports High School in Korea, where she helped develop numerous Korean national team athletes. Her experience of winning major international competitions as an athlete, along with her leadership as a coach, has played a crucial role in shaping the future of Korean fencing. Currently, she is a member of the coaching staff at BFC and continues to solidify her influence on the development of fencing in Australia.
Adrian (Pok Him) Cheng

Adrian Cheng was a Hong Kong Team member specialised in foil.
He has stared fencing since 8 and has represented Hong Kong in a junior level before coming to Australia. He has won the QLD state championship in both 2019 and 2022 and has experience coaching in both QLD and Hong Kong. He has very fast and dynamic movements. He is fluent in both Chinese and English, and offers both private and group lessons. He is running a group class for youth beginner, novice, intermediate and adult students.
William Beckey

Coach William Beckey was a member of the Australian Sabre team and is current QLD sabre champion.
Representing the Australian team from 2015 to 2019 William has trained with and competed against many of the best athletes in his feild both at home and abroad. Coaching since 2015 in his senior years of high school William has long been commited to the advanced developement of his students and hopes to build strong athletes to step up into national and international repesentation.
