Little Athletics Victoria Region Cross Country Championships

Eastern Metro Region (EMR) - T H Westfield Reserve, Yarra Bend Road, Clifton Hill VIC 3068.

Under 6 - Under 17 athletes - We encourage all our Cross Country athletes to run at Region Cross Country. All abilites welcome.

U9-U17 athlete entries open on the 3rd of June and close on the 1st of July. No late entries are accepted so please enter early. Enter via the Little Athletics Victoria website https://lavic.com.au/

The 2026 Region Cross-Country Carnivals are an Individual Cross-Country event that also serves as a qualifying event for the 2026 State Cross-Country Championships held at Lake Dewar, Myrniong.

Although it is an Individual event, there is a Teams element. The Teams event will be conducted concurrently with the Individual event and is based on the results of the first 3 athletes from each Centre across the line. While the first 3 athletes will earn Region medals, the top 3 teams will also earn Region medals.

All athletes who run at Region are automatically entered into the State Event. In order to participate at the State Championships, the entrant must have ‘Competed and completed’ the relevant event at the Region Cross-Country Carnival.

U6-U8 athletes are welcome to join in the Fun Run on the day. No need to register, just wear your club or compeition top with coles patch and your Registraion patch. We will have tops to borrow on the day at the tent if you need. The fun run is a non-competitve event and no placings are awarded.
