2027 Australian Youth Championships – Expression of Interest
The Australian Youth Water Polo Championships (AYWPC) - Green Division
The Australian Youth Water Polo Championship serves as the premier national club event for young athletes, providing a dynamic platform for competition, participation and development. The Green Division emphasizes participation and inclusivity. Whilst it is a club competition,
WPTAS send a combined Tasmanian team. While we endeavor to support as many of our athletes to participate as possible, selections do occur for teams. Teams will be selected in an ‘A’ and “B” format. While participation remains an important focus, equal game time is not guaranteed, as playing time may vary depending on factors such as athlete performance, effort, tactical requirements, and overall team balance. Coaches will share their approach to playing time before the trip so athletes clearly understand expectations and what to anticipate.

The Australian Youth Water Polo Championship serves as the premier national club event for young athletes, providing a dynamic platform for competition, participation and development. The Gold Division for Under 16 and 18’s is positioned as a high-tier participation competition, showcasing the best youth talent from across the country. Whilst it is a club competition, we send a combined Tasmanian team.

Academy requirement: Athletes who wish to be selected must be training in the WPTAS Academy for Term 4, 2026. All slected althletes will be required to attended Academy training in Term One and any additional trining arranged. |

Cost & Deposit
Estimated cost: TBA (excluding uniform)
Deposit to confirm interest: $200

Refundable if not selected: Deposit is refunded if your athlete is not selected, minus the Rev Sport surcharge.

Non-refundable after commitment: Deposit is non-refundable if you withdraw after paying the deposit.
- Refunds from the team budget will only be provided for amounts over $100

To register, you must be a current WPTAS member. Please log in to your child’s WPTAS account when completing the registration.
