Montalto Masters 2024 - Entry now Open

The Montalto Masters on Westernport is BACK for 2024. 16th & 17th November, this rapidly-growing event is on again for all those over-40 sailors!!. Thanks to our sponsors this is still the best value regatta around with regatta dinner and great prizes all included. Also a new addition to the racing program this year - a pursuit race. Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions now available. Take advantage of Early Bird Entry fee until until November.

Vale - Graham Henderson

Westernport Yacht Club is saddened to learn of the passing of Graham Keith Henderson, former Treasurer of the club. He was 76 years old.

Bathroom Upgrade

We are currently upgrading the toilet facilities at Westernport Yacht Club. To date the family/all abilities access bathroom is nearly complete. The female changeroom/bathroom is still undergoing major alterations and is unavailable for use. All works should be completed before the commencement of the sailing season.

Westernport Challenge Provisional results

Westernport Yacht Club has taken out the annual Westernport Challenge that was held at Cowes on Saturday 13th January. This is a provisional result to be confirmed later this week.

Twilight Sailing Fun

Last Friday night saw around 16 boats, 21 people, on the water We had 8 Opti's on the water and they were out to challenge the fleet. The age range of Opti sailors was 8 to 40. The youngest and newest sailor on the night, Eddy Douglas, beat everyone to the finish line. He probably had a weight advantage.

Tackers & Sailing School success

We have just completed a week of Tackers Courses and Sailing School course. All went extremely well and the weather was just about perfect all week. Our thanks must go to Instructors James Fleming, Gabrielle Simcox and Colin Franke. They were ably assisted by Will Palmer, Rebekka Simcox and Asha Douglas.
