💲 Understanding Your Registration Fees

Depending on your registration type, your registration costs may be made up of the following components.

1️⃣ Softball Australia & Softball Victoria Capitation

This is a compulsory registration fee set by Softball Australia and Softball Victoria (SA/SV).

It contributes towards:

  • Player/participant insurance
  • State and national registration
  • Administration and development of softball
  • Participation under the Softball Australia and Softball Victoria framework

The applicable SA/SV capitation is collected through RevSport as part of your registration.

2️⃣ Sunbury Softball Association Fee

The SSA fee supports the operation and delivery of softball competitions at Sunbury, including costs associated with:

  • Ground hire and facilities
  • Lighting
  • Game balls and competition equipment
  • Competition administration
  • Association administration and governance
  • Other costs associated with delivering the season

For 2026/27, SSA has kept its own full-season registration component unchanged from the previous season. Increases to the overall full-season registration fees are attributable to changes in Softball Australia and Softball Victoria capitation.

3️⃣ Club Fee – Senior Players

For players participating with an SSA Club in the Open Senior Competition, Club fees are additional to the SSA registration fee.

Each Club determines and collects its own Club fees.

Club fees may contribute towards expenses such as:

  • Team and playing equipment
  • Uniforms
  • Umpiring costs
  • Club administration
  • Training
  • Club activities and events

Please contact your Club directly for its 2026/27 Club fee information.

Junior players participating in SSA junior competitions do not pay a separate Club fee.

📝 Choosing the Correct Registration Type

It is important that you select the registration type that reflects how you will participate during the 2026/27 season.

If you are unsure which registration applies to you, please contact your Club or the SSA Registrar before completing your registration.

🥎 Full-Season Open Senior Registration

For players participating for the full season in the Open Women's or Open Men's Competition.

This is the standard full-season player registration for the Open Senior Competition.

Players must meet all applicable registration, eligibility and competition requirements, including the requirements for participation in finals.

Junior Playing Full Season in Senior Competition

This registration is for a junior-aged player participating for the full season in the Open Women's or Open Men's Competition.

The player must meet all applicable age, registration, eligibility and competition requirements for junior players participating in the Open Senior Competition.

If the junior will also participate in a junior competition, please ensure all applicable registration requirements have been completed.

4️⃣ 4-Game Membership

The 4-Game Membership is available to players participating in the Open Senior Competition, including:

  • Junior players aged 13–17 years

  • Senior players

This membership allows a player to participate in a maximum of four (4) Open Senior Competition games during the 2026/27 season.

Important:

  • Participation is limited to a maximum of four (4) games.
  • If you wish to play more than four (4) games, you must upgrade to the appropriate Full-Season Registration before participating in any additional games.
  • This membership does not make you eligible to participate in finals.
  • All players must meet the applicable age, registration, eligibility and competition requirements.

If you are unsure whether the 4-Game Membership or Full-Season Registration is appropriate, please contact your Club or the SSA Registrar before registering.

🧑‍⚖️ On-Diamond Official Registration

The On-Diamond Official Registration is for individuals participating in an official, non-playing capacity.

As an On-Diamond Official, you are permitted to participate as a:

  • Coach
  • Umpire
  • Scorer

The applicable SA/SV registration requirements and fees apply to On-Diamond Officials.

Important – This is Not a Player Registration

An On-Diamond Official Registration does not permit you to participate in games as a player.

If you also wish to play during the 2026/27 season, you must hold the appropriate player registration before taking the diamond as a player.

Please contact your Club or the SSA Registrar if you are unsure which player registration is required or need assistance upgrading your registration.

🙋 Off-Diamond Volunteer Registration

The Off-Diamond Volunteer Registration is for people supporting SSA in non-playing and non-on-diamond roles.

This may include:

  • SSA Committee members
  • Canteen volunteers
  • Event volunteers
  • Administrative volunteers
  • Other general helpers

There is no SA/SV player capitation payable for an Off-Diamond Volunteer Registration.

Important: An Off-Diamond Volunteer Registration does not permit participation as a player, coach, umpire or scorer.

If you intend to undertake an on-diamond role, you must obtain the appropriate registration.

🧒 Junior Registration

For junior players participating in SSA's junior competitions.

Please select the junior registration option applicable to the player's age and competition.

SSA junior competitions are administered directly by the Association and no separate Club fee applies to juniors participating in SSA junior competitions.

💳 Get Active Kids – Junior Registrations

Eligible families wishing to use a Get Active Kids Voucher towards a junior registration should select the applicable Get Active Junior Registration option.

What You Need to Do

  1. Apply for and obtain your Get Active Kids Voucher.
  2. Complete the applicable SSA Get Active Junior Registration.
  3. Provide your voucher details to SSA as requested.
  4. SSA will verify and redeem the voucher in accordance with the Get Active Kids Voucher Program requirements.
  5. Any registration amount not covered by the voucher remains payable.

Important: Selecting the Get Active Junior Registration option does not, by itself, constitute payment of the registration fee. The Get Active Kids Voucher must be provided to SSA and successfully redeemed.

If you require assistance, please contact the SSA Registrar.

🪪 Working With Children Check

Sunbury Softball Association is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for children and young people participating in softball.

Volunteers undertaking roles that require a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) must ensure their WWCC is current and that all applicable child-safety requirements are met.

If you are unsure whether a WWCC is required for your role, please contact SSA for further information.

🔄 Understanding Clearances & Permits

When registering, you may be asked whether you require a Clearance or a Permit.

The key difference:

  • Clearance = you are leaving your current home Club and permanently changing to another Club.
  • Permit = you are keeping your existing home Club but also playing for another Club.

📤 Clearance – Changing Clubs

If you are registering with a Club other than your current home Club, RevSport may prompt you to request a clearance.

A clearance changes your home Club within the registration system.

If you wish to move permanently to another Club, continue as a RETURNING MEMBER and follow the clearance process when prompted.

📄 Permit – Playing With More Than One Club

If you wish to play with another Club in addition to your home Club, you may require a permit rather than a clearance.

You must first be registered with your home Club for the current season.

If RevSport asks you to request a clearance when you intend to obtain a permit, check that you have first renewed your registration with your home Club.

Once registered with your home Club, return to register with the additional Club as a RETURNING MEMBER.

If you are unsure whether you require a clearance or permit, please contact your Club or the SSA Registrar before submitting the request.

💻 Registering Through RevSport

Please read the following information before commencing your registration.

🆕 New to Softball?

If you have not previously registered for softball through RevSport, select NEW MEMBER and complete the online registration process.

🔁 Returning to Softball?

If you have previously been registered through RevSport, select RETURNING MEMBER.

You will need your existing registration details/Softball ID to access your record.

⚠️ Don't Create a Duplicate Record

If you have previously been registered but cannot locate your Softball ID or existing record, do not create a new member profile simply to complete your registration.

Creating a duplicate record may cause:

  • Registration and eligibility issues

  • Problems with your playing history

  • Duplicate SA/SV fees being charged

  • Clearance or permit issues

If you do not know your Softball ID or are unable to access your existing record, please contact your Club Administrator or the SSA Registrar for assistance.

📜 Conditions of Registration

By completing your registration, you confirm that you have read and agree to abide by:

All players, officials and volunteers are expected to comply with applicable Sunbury Softball Association, Softball Victoria and Softball Australia rules, policies, codes and competition requirements.
