Sporting Schools:
Southern Table Tennis is a registered Sporting Schools provider. Some 27 schools in the Southern area have delivered a Sporting Schools table tennis program. As part of their funded program, most of those same schools acquired one or more new table tennis tables, bats and balls. It is pleasing that there are now an additional 30+ table tennis tables in the school environment.
Schools which have secured Sporting Schools funding and are proposing to deliver either an inhouse or coach delivered table tennis program should contact Table Tennis Australia to negotiate requirements in terms of a coach or acquisition of table tennis equipment.
We Come To You:
Southern Table Tennis has a coaching trailer equipped with 4 quality table tennis tables, 40 bats, hundreds of balls, various training aids, even a table tennis robot. This means that we can bring our sport to you.
School coaching takes the form of 2 accredited table tennis coaches from Southern, providing a one-hour structured coaching session to a class of students. During a school day, up to 150 students can receive exposure to table tennis through this coaching process.
Hire charges are as follows:
Trailer: $60.00 per day
Coaching Staff: $50.00 per hour per coach
You Come To Us:
Southern’s Stadium (11 permanently set up tables) is also available for hire to schools.
Hire charges are:
Venue Hire: $44.00 per hour for 11 tables
Coaching Staff: $50.00 per hour per coach
In addition to hiring Southern Table Tennis for school activities, our venue can also be used as part of Sporting Schools funding, utilising Southern as the venue for one or more sessions in delivering the Sporting Schools program.
