Hello Skate Families ..

Firstly, thank you for your show of support & considerations throughout our programs change over to the SkateCru Club. It has definitely been a challenge & learning curve for me. None of which would have been possible without my awesome team I can rely on, & some amazing families that have confidently trusted their children’s skating journey with us.

Our Learn to Skate program is rolling rather strong with a fast-growing waiting list.

  • If you were not here for week 9, or missed out on seeing me, could you please make sure you see me this week or contact me asap, to discuss if your skater is returning for Term 4.
  • A reminder that this coming week is the final week for Term 3, where we hold our GAMES WEEK full of fun for our skaters to end the term of learning. We are not holding any Junior based sessions at this stage in these school holidays.
  • The best way to keep up to date is to follow our Facebook page as this is most active.
  • Ideally, we could simply make a new session, as we have the numbers, yet that would require a few extra changes to current participants as well as time slots. I figure there has been enough changes this year, so we will look at this for 2024 if needed.
  • We don’t want to see any of our smiling skaters leave, yet we also don’t like to turn potential skaters away. Therefore, I am busy trying to make room for as many rollers as possible, without taking away from existing sessions.
  • Be assured that everyone already rolling with us in a permanent booking has first preference to their bookings. If you are not returning for Term 4 or have any special requirements or concerns surrounding your skaters booking, please let me know asap.
  • If there hasn’t been any contact by September 30th, your position may be released to the waiting list.
  • I am hoping to fill all vacancies during the school holidays, so that we will be starting our Term 4 program fully booked in week 1. Term 4 starts from Monday the 16th. With all payments due (or payments arranged) on or before your first session. Don’t forget.  those that haven’t used their 2023 SPORTS VOUCHERS yet can submit to me to put towards their fees.

In the coming days following this newsletter, if you have already let me know of your Term 4 participation, you should receive invoices. If you have any queries on the amounts or inclusions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Below is a brief overview of our club sessions, for those that are unaware or unsure of what is involved.

  • This is where we recommend our overflow & waiting list skaters attend, so that our skaters can still roll & learn in a controlled, safe & welcoming environment. With the some of the coaches they have with the learn to skate program.
  • It is also something to consider if your current timeslot does not suit, clashes with other commitments, or if you are unsure if your skater can commit to full term bookings.
  • Don’t be alarmed when you hear the term “CLUB”.. this simply means we are a not-for-profit incorporation. Our Club is the only one of its kind in SA. We are purely social/recreational participation .. NO COMPETITIONS, NO TEAMS, NO PRESSURE, NO JUDGEMENT .. #JUSTKATE .. where you can progress through the skills needed to become a confident skater with our accredited coaches & extended #skatefamily. You can also grab some extra one on one coach time here.
  • Our ALL AGES SESSIONS are a mix of Adults, Juniors & Families of all levels & styles rolling together. Some have individual needs, some are beginners, others are returning to the sport, some are refining their skills or finding new challenges regularly, whilst others are happy rolling at their own pace whilst socializing. We have skaters that roll both learn to skate & club sessions, this gives them extra roll time to practice what they like most.
  • These sessions do not require bookings, they are for casual drop in participants with an average of 20 skaters, these sessions also roll throughout the entire year, including the school holidays, if the venue is open then so are we. We would love to have you roll with us soon.
  • ALL AGES - Tuesday & Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm – 7:30pm   ..  followed by our Adults Only sessions 7:30pm – 8:30pm
  •    $10 - if you have been with us in Term 3 (permanent bookings) .. $15 - if you have not been a member

Whilst I have your attention .. may I ask a favour of you all .. if you have been enjoying your time with us so far, would you please take .... .... .... .... ....
