About

Welcome to season 2023/24.

Sharks Water Polo Club started in 1972 as Ryans Rangers and through a number of name changes continues as one of the premier Clubs in the OMWPA.

Last season we celebrated Sharks 50 year Anniversary and had a very sucessful end to the season winning multiple premierships, including A Men and A Women.

Over the 50 years we have had members from Sharks playing as Australian National representatives, Australian Junior representatives as well as many Australian Country, State and State Country representatives, Masters Games representatives and National League participants. As well as many Sharks members involved in coaching, managing and refereeing at these representative levels.

In the local competition we field a teams in all grades and age groups.

Our Club prides itself on the promotion of water polo and has a strong involvement in the junior grades with many of our senior players involved in coaching and refereeing our junior teams.
We encourage our junior players to transition to play at a senior level and a majority of our senior players commenced playing water polo as junior Sharks.

Sharks have also been a very successful club with a majority of our teams playing finals each season with many teams winning multiple  premierships.

Sharks Water Polo Club is a very proud one, run by a group of dedicated volunteers. We also encourage and have active participants volunteering in Association roles.

We abide by the Think Act Play program developed in conjunction with NSW Sport & Recreation and endorsed by WPNSW and WPA.
