The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania are proud to announce that the Australian Three Peaks Race will return in March 2027 after a 13 year hiatus. The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania are the new custodians of the race that was first held in 1989, inspired by the the Three Peaks Yacht Race in the United Kingdom, tha Australian version involves around 317 NM of sailing on the East coast of Tasmania and incorperates 133 km of running and walking which includes the climbing of the three mountains, Mt Strzelecki, Mt Freycinet and Mt Wellington, where extreme conditions, including snow, are frequently encountered at Easter Time.
