Next Wave Program

For those sailors who have finished Tackers and would like a refresher in their sailing skills. This program is designed to support your transition into Green Fleet training. You will use the RYCT Plastic Optis (the same type you used in Tackers). The focus of the program is confidence and belonging, enjoying your time sailing and giving sailors the confidence to enter Green Fleet and beyond.

What To Bring?

• Wetsuit* and water shoes (eg, crocs, old runners or wetsuit booties)
• Dry clothes and dry shoes
• Towel
• Hat/beanie
• Lunch and lots of snacks

Life Jackets, sunscreen and boats are provided.

*RYCT has a stock of second hand wetsuits to borrow

Green Fleet is an introduction to coaching and learning to train.

Green Fleet promotes practicing the fundamental skills of sailing, introduces some foundation race skills through training activities in an environment that is enjoyable, without a competition focus.
