QLD Title Champion of Champions

2026 Overall QLD Title Champion of Champion Points

Each year, the Queensland Axemen’s Association (QAA) recognises the season’s highest-performing competitors through the Queensland Champion of Champions points system. Points are awarded across Queensland Title events held throughout the season, rewarding competitors for consistent performances in both woodchopping and sawing disciplines.

For chopping events, points are awarded on a 5, 3, 2, 1 basis, while sawing events are calculated on a 2.5, 1.5, 1, 0.5 basis. At the completion of the season, the competitor with the highest accumulated points in their division is crowned the Queensland Champion of Champions.

How to get a QLD Title at your show

Queensland Title events are allocated annually through an application process completed during the QAA rollover period. Show societies that hosted a Queensland Title event in the previous season are automatically given first preference to retain that title for the upcoming season. Any remaining titles are then made available for application by other interested show societies.

To host a Queensland Title event, show societies must meet the official QAA prize money requirements. For Men’s, Double Sawing and Jack & Jill Queensland Titles, minimum prize money is:
• 1st – $550
• 2nd – $350
• 3rd – $250
• 4th – $150
• 5th – $100
• 6th – $100

For Women’s Queensland Titles, minimum prize money is:
• 1st – $300
• 2nd – $200
• 3rd – $100
• 4th – $50
• 5th – $50
• 6th – $50
