Welcome to PERTH CUBS SOFTBALL (Part of Perth Cubs Teeball and Softball Club Inc.)

The Cubs made a very successful return to the Perth Softball League (PSL) in the 2025/26 Summer U14 competition, making the Pool B Grand Final in our first season. Our newly integrated softball pathway is proving very popular for players completing their tee-ball journeys, in particular for girls. We are excited to build on that in 2026/27 with more equipment, resources and volunteers being invested into our Softball division.

Registrations for 2026/27 U14 season are open.

How To Slide In Softball and Baseball

Quick summary of uniform/gear requirements for games:

1) Cubs Jersey (loaned by club for season, please look after and return after last game)
2) Grey pants / red belt / cubs cap
3) All fielders to wear mouthgard or softball fielder's mask (a cheap pharmacy or online mouthgard generally the best option for most). No mouthgard or mask =  no play. Plate umpires are always checking.
4) Pitchers must wear a softball fielder's mask (club provides masks for pitchers only)
5) We carry team alloy bats (2-3 different sizes) but players often get their own as they develop, especially if they want a composite bat.
6) Baseball / softball cleats recommended on diamond. But trainers with suitable grass soles are ok (i.e. turfs)
7) Glove. Note the ball is significantly larger than a teeball/baseball. I would recommend a 12" glove and above
8) We carry club batting helmets but players are welcome to use their own also. However if they don't have a face guard they will need to wear their mouthgard when batting

9) Each team has 1 set of club catcher's gear
