Welcome to NCYC's award-winning Sailing Academy!
Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club offers training pathways for Kids, Teens and Adults from the beginner stages through advanced racing. Training is delivered by accredited instructors, following the Australian Sailing (AS) training syllabus. Courses are available in both dinghies and inshore keelboats. We provide a safe, fun, and affordable environment to try sailing.
We are now accepting registrations for training courses and expressions of interest if you cannot find an upcoming course available.

NCYC 'SailPass' Temporary Membership
By acquiring an Australian Sailing Sail Pass (via NCYC), racing participants (skippers and crew) will meet the requirements of Australian Sailing's prescription, to Racing Rule 46. An Australian Sailing SailPass will also provide racing participants with personal accident insurance cover, for the day/s that they are registered. Participants of training courses do not require a SailPass.
