Narrabri Dolphins Water Polo Club – Programs, Training and Competitions

The Narrabri Dolphins Water Polo Club (NDWPC) provides a range of programs designed to make water polo accessible and enjoyable for all ages and skill levels. Our structured training and competition pathway supports new and developing players, and experienced competitors alike.

Programs and Competitions Offered:

• Flippa Ball (Under 12 – shallow end): A fun, modified version of water polo designed for children. Focuses on developing swimming ability, water confidence, teamwork, and basic game skills in the shallow end of the pool.  For kids aged 8 - 11 with basic swimming skills.  Runs on Tuesday evenings from 5:15pm to 6:00pm commencing on the 20th Oct.  Skills session for 25 minutes, followed by 20 min game.  

• Junior Mixed Competition (Under 15s): A pathway for young athletes to build their skills and compete in structured matches in the deep end. Games are held on Friday evenings from 5:30pm commencing on the 23rd Oct.

• Senior Mixed Competition: Open to adults of all skill levels, providing a welcoming environment for both social and competitive players. Matches are also held on Friday evenings from 6:10pm commencing on the 23rd Oct.

• Junior / Senior Mixed Format: 
  There will be a general season commencing October 23rd - December 11th with a mix of competitive weeks and social weeks.   After the Christmas break, we will hold a 5-week Fast Fives mixed mini competition from January 8th - February 5th.  From then, the general season will continue, finishing up with finals in mid March. 

Training and Development:
All programs include access to training sessions tailored to age and ability levels. Players are supported by qualified coaches and volunteers who provide guidance in skill development, teamwork, and fitness.  Training is held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00pm.

Representative Opportunities:
Beyond club competitions, NDWPC members have the opportunity to represent Narrabri at regional, state, and national events. More than 20 of our players have already progressed to higher levels of competition, highlighting the strength of our programs.  Check out the Events page for details of various opportunities available.
