Yianni brings an impressive basketball pedigree and we’re delighted to welcome him to the Maccabi family! He has experience designing and running youth basketball programs, as well as coaching and officiating within junior basketball programs in Sydney. Yianni has played professionally in Serbia and Greece, and is currently playing for St George in the Waratah Senior League (NSW's top state competition
Yianni has already been getting to know our coaches and working with the committee, and we look forward to all teams connecting with him from Term 2. He will work across all of our junior teams to:
- Review and refresh our coaching curriculum
- Introduce themed training sessions
- Mentor coaches
We believe this appointment marks a meaningful step forward for Maccabi Basketball NSW, and we're excited to see Yianni take the court with us!
