Nowra Waterdragons Fire Recovery Regatta

Saturday & Sunday, 16th and 17th May, 2020

Greys Beach, Shoalhaven River, Nowra.

Hoping to put some tourist money back in the Region after the Horrific Bushfires prevented tourism over the Christmas Period; we want to have a weekend of paddling for everyone, hoping teams can come down and stay a couple to a few

days.  

 Team Composition

  • All teams will consist of 16-20 paddlers (max.10 men).

               If you don’t have a team, contact us and we’ll put you in a team. Minimum age 12 years mixed

                 ages allowed, we just want to see people here in boats                                                  

 

  Entry Fees -

  • ACT and Sports teams $25/ paddler for Saturdays 200m races (max. $500/team)
  • Junior  teams $100 / team
  • Saturday and Sunday Paddling $35 / paddler Or (max. $700/ team)

We will run the 200m races on the Sunday morning and afternoon;

The 8 km race can be run on the Saturday afternoon for those who feel like a challenge, or if some want a smaller race we may be able to do this.

All money raised through fees etc will go to the Drought stricken Farmers and the Fire Victims

All Accommodation will help the stricken Tourism industry of the Shoalhaven and any money spent will be gratefully appreciated by our retail industry.
