The 7 week Hookin2Hockey program will now transition and be delivered over Terms 2 & 3.  The program gives your child the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills, and make friends, all while beginning his/her lifelong hockey journey. 

The H2H program is the best way to become familiar with the great game of hockey in a safe and friendly environment.

The Hin2H program:

• Is delivered by Mentone Hockey Club members who were Runners Up in the 2025 “Hookin2Hockey Club of the Year” award.
• Is for girls and boys between 5 and 11 years old (prep until year 6), however, older children are catered for at Mentone Hockey Club.  For older children, please contact the email below to ensure we have the appropriate coaches present
• Is an introductory program to hockey for juniors
• Has skill based games
• Runs in a fun and safe environment
• Is an official program of Hockey Australia

Our Hookin2Hockey program will run

• From 8^th February to 5th September, 2026
• At the conclusion of the initial 7 weeks, the program will transition to a Thursday night 5.15-6.00pm
• Your payment for the 7 week program covers the entire year.
• In Term 2 & 3 there is an optional intra-club competition on a Saturday morning (Cost U8 - $40, U10 - $70)
• Equipment can be provided by the Mentone Hockey Club & the provision of a uniform facilitated
• Children should wear sports clothing and runners.
